GCN: The Gamma-ray bursts Coordinates Network
The Gamma-ray burst Coordinates Network (GCN), run from the Goddard Space
Flight Center, distributes the locations of
GRBs promptly and automatically from currently active satellites (eg Swift,
HETE and Integral) in the form of
Notices. More detailed information (duration, count rate, follow-up
observations etc) is relayed via the Circulars, which are written after
the data have been evaluated. A new addition to the GCN system are the
Reports. These bring together the data from the individual Circulars,
together with light-curves from the various Swift instruments.
